Bio

Silvia Bossio (Jones for friends) initially studied in the field of tourism that led her to learn about the road of technology and Bitcoin. She approached this sector a few years ago and continues to study while being a community manager and voice for Bitcoin locally and globally.

In the coming years I hope there is more awareness about cryptocurrencies in general and about Blockchain technology.

What was your work experience before cryptocurrency?

I do not work in the crypto sector full-time, but I am a store specialist at a large multinational telecommunications company. The cryptocurrency sector I consider it a pleasant hobby and full of opportunities, but to date I have never pushed myself to leave the old road for the new one, despite being a promoter and blogger, I have always done it for passion.

How did you get involved in Bitcoin?

Many years ago I heard about the darkweb and deepweb. Driven by curiosity, I installed Tor and tried to understand what it was and what I could find within this parallel world and so I found Bitcoin. At the time there was almost no information about it except in very technical forums, I decided to buy them to try, and I returned my attention to it a couple of years later.

What do you love most about Bitcoin?

Decentralization, you are the bank and sole manager, everyone can use it. It’s open.

What dangers do you see facing Bitcoin?

The biggest danger is people who do not understand blockchain technology or Bitcoin as currency. It is not a simple subject to explain, many focus on trading and speculation, leaving out why it was created.

What is your prediction for Bitcoin over the next years?

In the coming years I hope there is more awareness about cryptocurrencies in general and about Blockchain technology.

What are you working on currently?

I am currently creating a free magazine for those who want to write articles and working on myself to be able to spread the value of Bitcoin.
